She advocates patient education and promotes injury prevention and optimal health of the athlete at every age. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sport-related injury and illness. Her care focuses on muscle injuries and biomechanics. She spends time with each patient to evaluate their movement patterns and diagnose orthopedic function. She then works with them through therapy, rehabilitation and treatment in order to improve their quality of life. A longtime gymnast, dancer, and coach herself, Dr. Adam knows the importance of a strong doctor-patient relationship and personalized treatment plan.

Dr. Jessalynn Adam’s background and education includes a variety of notable accomplishments and honors. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree from the prestigious Princeton University in New Jersey. She received her medical degree from the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and was selected to be the Education Chief Resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Adam has as served as Primary and Assistant Team Physician for a variety of organized sports teams from high school to professional, including the Washington Wizards of the NBA, the Washington Mystics of the WNBA, and the DC United of the MLS. She is also a provider for the US Figure Skating Team. She has served on Medical Staff for multiple events including the Baltimore Running Festival, Penn Relays Track and Field Competition, and Marine Corps Marathon. She is a member of multiple notable medical associations and has contributed to numerous research publications and presentations.
