Megan Shepter, CRNP

Megan Shepter, MSN, CRNP, is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Practice at Mercy Personal Physicians at Hunt Valley, an affiliate of Mercy Personal Physicians at Lutherville, one of Mercy Medical Center’s Community Physician Sites. Megan provides primary care services to patients from the Cockeysville, Hunt Valley and Northern Baltimore County areas. 

Dedicated Primary Care Provider

Megan Shepter, CRNP, is dedicated to offering primary care to patients of all ages from two to three day old newborns through aged 100-plus adults. Patients turn to her for diagnosis and treatment of symptoms of acute conditions like cold, flu and strep throat and chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, depression and anxiety. Nurse practitioner Megan Shepter focuses on helping patients reduce risk factors, such as high cholesterol, that can cause heart disease. She also conducts minor skin procedures including biopsies and sutures.

Patient Collaboration

Nurse practitioner Megan Shepter believes in collaborating with her patients to provide the best possible primary care. Patients appreciate her team approach and know they can tell her when they are having problems with a particular treatment. She works hard to limit the number of medications and develop a treatment plan that fits each individual patient’s lifestyle. 

Megan Shepter, CRNP, has served as a preceptor for nursing students at Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland, Towson University and Harford Community College. She is active in her church as a Youth Advisor. In her leisure time, Megan enjoys competing in the Agility obstacle courses with dogs as well as raising and showing sheep at state fairs and livestock competitions across the nation.
