X-ray – During an X-ray, different types of body tissue absorb varying amounts of radiation, creating black and white images doctors use to examine conditions such as cancer, bone fractures, osteoporosis and heart disease.
Echocardiogram - An echocardiogram (ECHO), which uses sound waves to create detailed images of the heart, is used by cardiologists to diagnose cardiovascular conditions, such as arrhythmias or valvular heart disease.
Electrocardiogram - An electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG), which measures the electrical activity of the heart muscles, is used by cardiologists to diagnose cardiovascular conditions, such as heart attack and coronary heart disease.
